Social Media Specialist (for a startup)
Vancouver, Canada, or remote (+/- 3hrs PST)



We’re looking for a seasoned social media specialist to execute and evolve the social media strategy for our product to support our overall content strategy and help to establish our product as “the” authentic and trustworthy resource for luxury watches. The ideal candidate has excellent writing and verbal communication skills. You know and follow the latest trends in social media, and have a proven track record of creating content that delivers results. You don’t have to be a luxury watch expert, but experience with luxury watches or luxury brands would be a definite plus.


Our product is a new online destination where luxury watch lovers and buyers can learn about and buy luxury watches at competitive prices. Our aim is to demystify the luxury watch industry and put power in the hands of buyers. With a retail search platform at its core, our product is bolstered by a rich and dynamic repository of watch-specific content.

Position Overview

What you’ll do here:

  • Apply and evolve our social media strategy
  • Work with the SEO specialist to measure content effectiveness across key channels
  • Work with the content lead to generate creative ideas for social media content
  • Oversee social media content development 
  • Work with the design lead to create engaging social media content “packages” 
  • incorporating SEO recommendations and best practices
  • Track the latest social best practices, and recommend how to apply these to our social media
  • Manage our social media channels

Required Skills

 If you have the following, we would love to hear from you:

  • 3-5 years experience developing social media content for B2C audiences
  • Experience creating and managing content for major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat)
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Post-secondary degree in marketing, business, or related field
